1. WhatsApp is becoming even more safe and secure. Because now friends, WhatsApp is adding high security mode. This is basically to provide extra protection for the users. This happens many times because most scams etc. Happen on WhatsApp only.
Unknown contacts get added and they send you links etc. So, to reduce this exposure, malicious content should not reach you. For this, friends, they have brought this added extra protection. Anyway, there is ended to end encryption, but this extra layer of protection is also coming now which is very good high security mode.
2. This brand new WhatsApp setting will save you from every kind of scam on your WhatsApp. Just go to settings, then privacy, then advanced, and you will see this brand new strict account setting. Just turn it on with a passcode, and you’re done. You’re protected against all the scams.
But what does it do, and how does it work? Let’s say a stranger sends you a message with any attachment, be it an APK, media, PDF, or some shady file. So, WhatsApp will automatically block it so that you don’t even download it and you’re safe. Also, you won’t get any call notification from strangers and if they call you, it will directly land in the missed calls list.
And yeah, if the scammer is messaging you back to back, WhatsApp will just automatically block them and strangers cannot even add you to random groups. This feature is currently in beta and it’s rolling out soon. So, I highly recommend that you enable this on your phone as well as on your parents’ phone because this one setting can stop a lot of scams.
